DICK REUBEN SAW REVIVAL BEFORE IT HAPPENED
PENSACOLA,
FL -- Dick
Reuben spoke a word in prophecy about the Brownsville Revival
before it happened.
Standing in the lobby of the Pace Assembly of God in Pace, Florida in the Fall of 1993 Dick Reuben picked up The Remnants first issue. On the front page of that paper it said, "17 men see angels in Georgia prayer meeting." In the left hand corner of the newspaper was a Jewish priest blowing a shofar. The first words out of his mouth was, "This must be of God." He began to read the amazing story of a pastor who was called from poverty to lead a great revival. The Editor Jerrell Miller didnt even know what a shofar was he just thought it would be a great idea to give honor to the Jewish people by putting a Jewish priest blowing a horn at the top of the paper. Dick Reuben knew what the horn was and he knew that the little paper was inspired.
The testimony of the pastor and how he sought God as a child. This put a hunger in Dick Reubens heart that wouldnt go away. At the time the official radio broadcast of The Remnant was called Contemporary Witness. Jerrell Miller waited in the lobby to see Pastor Kilpatrick, person after person in the office at the time was buzzing about what was going on at Pace Assembly of God in 1990. I had to get up and ask who they were talking about. They were talking about The Temple In The Wilderness and Dick Reuben. I finally went in and taped my first interview with the Pastor.
Eventually Dick Reuben was asked to come to the Brownsville Assembly of God. It was a moment in time. The church was pregnant in prayer but the birth of the baby had not happened. On a Sunday night in March of 1994 Reuben said this, "This sanctuary was not built because of mans divine will, it was built by the will of God for a purpose. And I believe youre about to see some of the greatest events that have ever occurred in church history." And then again Reuben said at another service before revival, "Gods getting ready to open up the flood gates. Gods getting ready to do something mighty and spectacular, because were here at the end of the age." Because of the Brownsville Revival Church history has been rewritten and the voice of the prophet spoke about amazing things in a season when there was nothing but prayer for revival. There was the outer voice of Dr. Paul Yonge Cho that spoke of a general revival in a certain town, but as Dick Reuben stood in the Brownsville Sanctuary -- he called forth the work as the church was heavy with child -- the baby was birthed on June 18, 1995 and the testimony of the Pensacola church is endless today. Pastors and lost people have been returned to the Lord because of the Brownsville Revival.
Dick Reuben has proved to be a voice spoken with accuracy. Shortly after the revival broke he was asked to join others on stage to help during the most powerful times of ministry . Reuben ministered at the revival during the two most powerful years of revival 1995-1996. It was his voice that could hear the voice of God, prophets still call forth the work.
