BRADFORD,ENGLAND It
was the third year for the outreach team from Heritage
Fellowship to visit England. St. Georges Hall was the place of
meeting. It was built around the time of the American Civil War
and had hosted every known major entertainer in the world from
Bob Hope to Tom Jones, but the troop of 72 Americans came to old
St. Georges Hall not to entertain but to do service for the Lord.
Cleddie Keith started the early morning service by reading a scripture in Jeremiah 48. "God has His own process for making new wine. Gods work is always found in the cluster of the grapes. The land of Moab did not want to be poured from vessel to vessel and because of that Moab was the place where God now goes to bury what he has done. Moses was only allowed to see the Promised Land but was not allowed to enter in because of his disobedience. Moses was the last thing God did at that time and he was buried in Moab. God is pouring us into new vessels." Keith made reference to those churches today that do not want to deal with change, "Churches that do not want to be poured from vessel to vessel and are satisfied to stay where they are will not taste of the new wine, they are like Moab, unable to identify with God."
CLEDDIE KEITH LEADS AMERICAN TEAM
Once
again Keith made mention of Moab at the death of Naomis
husband, Elimelech. Naomi had lost her covering, her lover. She
lost her two sons and sorrow was a constant reminder. When she
left to go back to Judah all she had were memories and a
daughter-in-law, Ruth. Moab is a place where God buries things.
Sorrow was a constant reminder as she started for Judah.
Bethlehem means the bread of presence and as
Naomi and Ruth made it back to
Judea, God put them in a place to receive blessings. God would do
a new thing, as the past of what God had done was buried in Moab.
We must be the facilitator of change. We must be willing to be
used. When the outpouring happened in Toronto, British Airways
had to put on several new flights to accommodate the needs of the
people wanting to visit where the bread of presence was. God has
sent me here to look for six men to be facilitators of His
presence. If youre a facilitator then you are willing to go
forward with what God wants to do at the present. Many churches
have fallen by the way side and have been buried in Moab simply
because they were unable to be a facilitator of change.
In the afternoon service Fred Grewe spoke about the presence of God in peoples lives. "The difference in what we believe in and what the Sekes and the Moslems believe is that we can experience the presence of a living God. When you have the presence of God in your life then you have healing and the operational gifts of God. God has a sense of humor. Isnt it funny that God gave the Jews the wealth of Egypt and then sent them to a desert where they couldnt use it for 40 years. When you have the presence of God on your life then people know you are from God and the effort of witnessing takes care of itself at times."
In John 4:23 Jesus says this, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the Father seeketh such to worship him." Weve got to have the presence of God in our lives so we can accomplish that which He has given us to do. God requires us to walk with Him in four areas before we can receive His presence. We must worship Him (John 4:23); we must be obedient to what He is asking us to do; we must have a reverence of God; and then when we pray we must be passionate in our prayer." Grewe was careful to say that these four elements are not etched in concrete but they should serve as a useful outline to someone who wants to seek the presence of God. Fred Grewe made the statement to those who had gathered in the afternoon, that his hope and his joy had been profoundly touched by the early morning ministry at St. Georges.
On Monday evening, Brenda Kilpatrick was supposed to speak but the loss of her voice allowed Cleddie Keith to come back and do the Monday night service.
Keith picked up the family verse in Isaiah 61:1-2 The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.
Keith spoke on the restoration of man and the removal of shame. God wants to revive the ancient ruins, He wants to restore places long ago devastated, and He wants to renew cities that have long been devastated for centuries. This is why God called the Jews home to their homeland. Never in the history of man has entire group of people been restored in their own country. This is the fulfillment of all prophecy. God doesnt have to do another thing more. Tonight He could come and take us home. This was a message of warning to the people that had been assembled this night. As the large crowds that filled St. Georges responded during the altar call the lay ministers that had come on the trip moved in. All 72 people were used this night. Cleddie Keith believes in the power of body ministry and during the altar time the glory of God was on these worker. Later that night he spoke about those that had went on the trip, "I was like a proud papa tonight. I watched our people move in and make a difference. It wasnt a night when the ministers would minister but this was a night for the body of Christ to minister." At the end of the altar call several minister did minister but the bulk of ministry was done by the people in the American group.
PASTOR MARK PUTNAM PREACHES FAITH IN THE MORNING MEETING
During
the morning session Pastor Mark Putnam from Victory Christian
Church, Columbia, Missouri ministered. He gave a power
demonstration of the power of God by speaking to the early
morning meeting about faith. "We should be as bold as a lion
because we are a supernatural people. We should always want to
have the expectation of flying. If you dont have the full
gospel then what you have coming through the front door of
the church is the half-gospel. What
you dont have, you cant give away. I had bold faith
one time and told a man that if he would come to the church, God
would heal his cancer. When I got off the phone I realized what I
had said and on top of it all this man was a medical doctor. The
medical doctor showed up at the church, I said to Jesus,
"Jesus help me." During the altar call the man came
forward as I reached out my hand he fell backward. Something came
into the room and it started swirling around the room. A fuzzy
and warm sensation came over the doctor as he hit the floor. He
said later that something started churning inside. The doctor had
himself checked out. That week after 7 biopsies, there was no
cancer to find in his body, he was completely healed. No more
cancer could be found. Putman encouraged the people by telling
them that they were a supernatural group and that God has high
expectations of them. He spoke to their need and said that it was
Gods plan for them to have the ability to support ministry
and many of them would be anointed to receive wealth. He said
that many were anointed for houses, land, buildings and property.
During the afternoon service Dianne Sloan spoke to a womens only meeting with the men looking on from the balcony. God moved in a powerful way during the afternoon service as many women were ministered to.
TAIT DELIVERS A POWERFUL WORD
During
the last service at Bradford, England International Evangelist
Ivan Tait spoke. Anyone who has heard this man will never forget
him. He has the most unorthodoxed way of preaching, but that is
his style and thats the way he gets reaches people. Tait is
an avowed terrorist on religion, he loves to offend religious
people. Laughter filled the old hall as people could not stop
laughing at this amazing minister. Tait has learned a secret in
ministry -- dont take youself to serious. Tait knows that
laugher helps open wounded people so that the Holy Spirit can
heal. In his message he mentioned the need for sacrifice in the
body of Christ so Gods presence can come in revival
services, "Do you know why the big Methodist Churches are
empty today in England. Someone didnt want to make a
sacrifice. Fire will fall on sacrifice."
Tait spoke about giftings in the body of Christ and said that a persons gift makes room for him. Its not enough just to have a gift, a person has to have character to carry that gift. A gift without character in a persons life will eventually burn that person up. At the end of his message he spoke about the greatest robber of all time in the ministry. "Offense is the greatest destroyer of ministry in the church. It has destroyed more ministry than any other thing. We must be aware of this in our own life if we want to move into the area where God wants us. We must learn how to handle offense and then we can achieve the level that God has planned for us. We can do nothing without him and the sooner we realize that the faster that God will move in our lives."
This was our third year to minister in Bradford. It was different this year. We could sense and feel the change going on in the people. England is on the edge of one of a greatest outpourings of revival. The intercessory prayer that is being lifted up at Sunderland is causing walls to fall. Many could sense the newness of Spirit among the people.
