BRADFORD, ENGLAND -- It was a day made for God as the city of Bradford had long forgotten their man of God, Smith Wigglesworth. A group of 75 Americans launched out from the states to rekindle a flame of Pentecost among the long forgotten memories of this area. The last tent meeting to be held in Peel Park was several decades ago and the last man to hold a meeting here was Smith Wigglesworth. Many had never been to England but the small group who came found it is in the dark place where God shines His light the brightest. The tremendous anointing under the giant tent was so awesome that the members of the group were quickly united for the common purpose of evangelism. It was the miracle of love. Each individual could feel the identity and the unity with all of the others on the team.

On the last day of the meetings "The Emerald Sky" was seen. This phenomenon was last recorded at the beginning of this century just before the Welsh Revival. The BBC television announcer mentioned that "The Emerald Sky" had been seen on June 12, from Manchester to Devonshire.

On the last day of the meetings "The Emerald Sky" was seen. This phenomenon was last recorded at the beginning of this century just before the Welsh Revival. The BBC television announcer on a late broadcast said "The Emerald Sky" was seen on the night of June 12 from Manchester to Devonshire. It was the last night of Revival Fire and was one of the only two days of clear weather the small group had experienced.

Cleddie Keith’s message was directed to the Prodigals of England. This message was one of several that were given during the eight days of ministry and this message set the tone for the entire stay. He spoke about the burden for the United Kingdom that God has. It was addressed to the ones who had fallen away and the ones who had never met Jesus face to face. "I’m not interested in making money. I’m interested in burning myself out for Christ in the harvest. There is no other plan set in place for England. You who are listening to this message tonight are it. If you don’t do something, nothing will be done. There is no other plan."

Before Keith went to his text, he called his son forward to give testimony of the new Bible School in Pensacola, Florida. His son, Kile, went to the platform to speak about the Brownsville School of Ministry. When Keith asked, what are you learning there, the younger Keith replied, "I have learned to love people with a passion. Two things spoke to me when I first entered the school, destiny and purpose. I felt as if it were a place of destiny where I would find great meaning and purpose in my life." The elder Keith spoke well of the ministry school saying he didn’t want to send his son just anywhere. "I believe in sending my child to a place I can trust. I know the kind of people who are at Brownsville and they have great integrity and honesty."

He then spoke about a meeting in England from years past where he delivered a message about people who watch their watches for time and sometimes leave before God moves. "Watches have killed more moves of God in England than anything else, just because someone has to catch the bus. Years ago my worship leader, Dan, and I were in a meeting and we spoke about that subject and the entire congregation went wild tossing their watches up to the platform. Many came to pick up their watches but one beautiful watch was never picked up. It was an expensive Seiko watch." Keith had kept that watch all these years in his possession. He called for Gordon Leverette, the man who had supplied the tent, to come forward to receive that beautiful watch. Gordon had worked with diligence to restore what the wind had done to the tent the day before as 70 mile per hour gale winds tried to tear up what God was doing.

As he started into his message that concerned the feeding of the multitude, he spoke about the changes he had seen in Bradford since the last time he had visited. "The English have finally made it, now you have a McDonald’s with a drive through in your town. At about 11 o’clock the other night we drove up to the drive through and ordered 50 hamburgers. I know they were about to close and the whole crew came to the window in shock to see who would order that many burgers at one time." It was Cleddie Keith and he wasn’t feeding the multitude but he was feeding a small band of weather beaten soldiers who had been in the battle for souls that night.

As Keith spoke about the disciple in Mark 6 who despaired after they had seen the Master feed the 5,000, he said: "No situation justifies despair. Hail fell on our tent Sunday, my feet became like icicles later Sunday night but we know we have been sent here to do a mission and nothing is going to turn us away." If you want a breakthrough in ministry, always do what Jesus has asked you to do. Martin Luther said affliction is the best book in my library. The world wants to conform to every need, people want to be understood."

Keith spoke about a woman who was a nurse and had come to Heritage Fellowship in Florence, Kentucky. She had almost lost her mind. The only peace she could get is by going to the race track and watching cars race around . Everyone in the church knew who she was and how sick she was. Physically her bones were brittle and could almost crack at any moment but someone came to our church in service and spoke over her. Evangelist Joe Martin had a word from the Lord that "she would be completely made whole." Many of us who had heard this word were shocked. He had better be right because there were a lot of people at the church who really loved Tina. God did hear that word for a year and a half later Tina was touched by the power of God one night in service and was completely made whole. No situation ever justifies despair.

"God has no favorites." Pastor Keith went on to explain a deep principle of faith when he spoke about the Philistine who believed the Ark of the Covenant had some special power that could be captured and be used for their own purpose. "After they had captured the Ark from the Jews they thought it would bring them a favored status with God. Notice one principle about the Holy Ark of God, the deeper they took it into Philistine land the more trouble the enemy of God’s people began to have. Many of them developed hemorrhoids after they were in the presence of the Lord. The principle still works-- the deeper the Ark went into the darkness the more power it has. Light always shines better in the darkest places. God has no favorites, God has put that light in you, you are the temple of the Holy Ghost and whereever you go that light will be bright. He chooses to use you in ministry."

"God has no adversary because God has no equal. There will be a harvest of souls — we will either be committed or we will miss what He is going to do. God is going to finish His plan with or without us. Many of the disciples in Mark 6 saw the Master feed the multitude but when they entered the small boat to go across the sea they became fearful. They had seen the miracle of the loaves and the fishes, yet they had hardened their hearts and couldn’t believe they were in the hands of God. Many of us have seen God take care of us over and over and still we fear the future and we are hampered in our faith."

"God has a plan, He does not leave the future to chance. The world is rapidly changing but the needs of the people in this world are still the same as they were when Jesus walked the face of the earth. The need for love will always be there.

"All things are possible was pastor Keith’s last point and with that he began to call people forward without any music playing. The silence that was in the tent was unusual as he simply waved his hand in the crowd to motion people forward. "If you are a Prodigal come forward now to be restored." Several came forward including several ministers in the crowd. One tall young lady came forward in tears and gave her life back to Christ. One security guard who had been watching from the outer doors of the tent heard the message and came to Jesus. After coming forward he gave the testimony that God had restored his ability to hear. The return of the Prodigal was made plain in the message. God wants to regather His church before He comes again. Keith mentioned the people who had been driven away by hurts and disagreement, "these are the people for which God is looking."

Ivan Tate and Chris Harvey came to England also to share at the meetings. On Tuesday night Ivan Tate set the crowd on fire as salvation and prophecy touched many. Calling out the ministers from America and England, Tate spoke special words of prophecy to the men of God. The electric feeling and the presence of the Holy Ghost did a consuming work among the people. His message was "We’re going some where." Many who had never seen Tate minister before were absolutely rocked by laughter as Tate would break away from the message to repeat his message "We’re going some where." He danced across the stage several times and pushed the crowd to the limits of laughter they had never seen in a church setting. Tate was well placed in the meeting because on Tuesday the greatest battle was faced by the revival team as 70 mile per hour winds tried to wreck the revival. Gordon Leverette and his team were crawling up on the top of the tent as the cold, the rain, and the wind tormented the move of God at Peel Park. Ivan got our minds off the problems and caused us to find hope.

Chris Harvey ministered on Sunday evening. His anointing touched people and many found Christ. Harvey usually ministers under an anointing that causes people to laugh but on Sunday he preached a serious salvation and related his early life as he found God as a hell bent lead miner from the Outback. That night the harvest was very real as several came to the front to give their life to Christ for the first time. During the meeting he said this about England, "I don’t know what it is about this place but as I was flying over the land a deep burden filled my spirit for these people." Harvey said he felt as if he was going to return and mentioned the fact of the hardship many visiting ministers face because of the exchange rate of money. "No one comes to England to preach the gospel for money -- they come here because of the people and the burden God places on the chosen few who come. Being an Australian, maybe it’s the heritage of my people I feel. I feel as if I have to give something back to this land."

One thing about the meetings that struck everyone involved was the tremendous anointing on the ones who came. Day by day you could feel the unity of the group grow until they were melted together as one. Anyone who went with the ministry team came back refreshed in the Holy Ghost. For many it was the first time they had ever been to another country on a mission. It seemed as if people were put together by the hand of God. Two extra band members came and signed up late for the outreach. Brian Waters and Willie Lowery came and joined the band. Brian was a bass player and Willie Lowery was a saxophone player. The band had no bass player, nor did they have any brass until these two came. Waters made the comment about the members of the worship team. "This is the most incredible group of musicians I have ever witnessed in one setting. I feel so honored to be with these people, it took me a while to learn some of the music but the Holy Spirit taught me what I needed to know in the meetings to keep up." Willie Lowery played saxophone like an angel from Heaven. No one knew if Willie would fit into the worship team but on the first night of ministry I saw a pleasant smile come across Cleddie Keith’s face as Lowery played lead after lead under the anointing of the Holy Ghost. The worship was from another dimension, it was from Heaven and those who were there knew it. The key board player was only 17-years-old but young Jim Neukim was playing on an anointed level with the angels. The lead guitar was played by Timothy Hales. All in the worship group were used under a tremendous anointing.

Each night the meeting grew in size, more than 100 people were saved during the eight days. One Muslim lady brought her children to the park only to find a children’s tent where other children were. Her children were very sick and the prayer team prayed for them. Each child was instantly made whole. Seeing the results of the children being healed led her to come to Christ during the altar call. The small Muslim family walked forward to accept Jesus as Savior. In the main tent on the same night one of the security guards came forward for salvation. As soon as the guard came forward he was instantly healed from deafness in one ear. We were seeing results and many including I have been called to prayer during the middle of the night. One lady named Rebecca called home and asked the prayer team to begin to intercede for the meetings. Many of us who came here have seen visions of what God wants to do in Bradford.

Tired and wearied the small group touched down at the Cincinnati Airport knowing that all had an experience with God that would not be forgotten. The warmth of the Cincinnati air was in direct transition of the 45 degree weather of Bradford. God was in this trip and the seeds that were planted among the faithful will have a harvest in the days to come. We all knew one thing, we had had an experience with the Spirit of God that showed us a side of His measure that is rarely seen on the face of mother earth. Pray that England will have another great awakening.
