THE HOUSES OF WORSHIP

By Jerrell Miller
Remnant Editor & Publisher

MOBILE, AL -- When I travel I very often see a variety of places which have been touched by the spirit of revival. Not all are what you call hard core revival churches, a hard core revival church continually sees the lost trailing through the doors to find Jesus. Much of what is called the revival has turned into houses of renewal. These are places that are springs of living water which sometimes feeds a whole community of believers and ministers seeking the face of God.

These houses of renewal are key places of the presence of God. The foundation of prayer is what makes up the base of a renewal church. The second ingredient is the worship. Maybe you think the evangelists plays the major role in what happens at a church in renewal or revival, believe me it is not built around the evangelist. I know some pretty good evangelists that would agree with some of the statements I am about to release. The pounding message of this new move of God is coupled with the intercessor. Very often the intercessor feeds the evangelist and the pastor for their very message. Its not a spoken thing by word of mouth but it is the will of God that comes to the pulpit by the dimension of the Holy Ghost. Intercessors are very close to the office of a prophet -- they hear the voice of God and move in to the dimension of the supernatural. It is at these times that powerful words come forth from the pulpit. The music comes behind these events and the level and the dept of revelation comes from the voice of the evangelist and the pastor.

This is the worship team in Galt, California they set the mood of the presence
each service, without this part of revival the River flows backward.

THE GREATEST MESSAGES ARE NOT PLANNED

I am a called evangelist and sometimes God gives me a message and sometimes I hear nothing at all from him and rely in total for the message when I get to the pulpit. Many keep preaching the same old scripted messages in the pulpit because they cannot hear from God. The greatest messages that I have every delivered in a pulpit is when I didn’t know what I was going to do. I rely in a heavy manner on the word of God even when I don’t have a message.

Preaching without a message sometimes comes into the realm of the supernatural and allows God to say what he wants to say. You could be in the middle of a sermon and begin to say things that you knew wasn’t in your plan of thought or in anything you planned. That is the prophetic realm of move of God -- it was captured by the intercessor long before you got up to speak. Some messages comes forth when the worship leader has went before the face of God and has stirred a hole in heaven for the message to come through.

THE KEY INGREDIENT

Make no mistake about it, I have traveled from church to church and preached in all kinds of pulpits. From Nixa Missouri to Porterville, California -- there is an ingredient in each of these churches that releases the glory of God.

What’s more important intercession or worship? One can carry the other when one is missing. To me and my way of thinking as a prophetic-evangelist -- the most important ingredient of the two is worship. You see before I go into a pulpit I pray, I have always known that God won’t use anything in a pulpit but a praying man. It is absolutely stupid for me to preach anywhere unless I have touched the face of God over several days. I know God hears me because I have been there before Him so many times. The more you pray the more He knows who you are.

THE BALANCE OF WORSHIP AND PRAYER

In an Indiana church there is a picture and a prophetic word given over this picture of an eagle in the church. The word to that church was that when the words of prophetic intercessor becomes level with worship, then revival will come. Notice it had a balance to it -- they know what the ingredients are, they just need the evangelist to come and do his job. The office of that man is very important -- only one other person comes before the evangelist and that is the prophet. When the prophet speaks then the work begins. Many pastor go by their feels about revival but revival comes with the impression of God on the pastors heart. When you are ready for it then you will really know that it is time for God.

BETHEL TEMPLE AN AWESOME PRESNECE

What about what I have seen over the country -- who and where are the places you were touched the deepest. I believe that greatest touch that I have ever received in a church covering revival was at Bethel Temple in Hampton, Virginia. They had two worship leaders out front, there prayers teams were well trained and well watched so that the counterfeit didn’t show up in their ranks. God moved in a deep way through these two worship leaders. It during the greatest times of worship that I would see on of them come forth with a word of knowledge, it could have been about healing and a specific disease. Many of the people that would come forth at that time would experience instant healing. The worship has stirred the Holy Spirit so deep that the glory would began to be imparted. When the presence of Jesus showed up people would begin to receive. In that group of intercessors in Hampton I was prayed for -- the glory that was on these people is hard to explain. I could feel a divine presence -- I can also tell you that I have not found that to be true in every area of revival and renewal.

HIS PRESENCE IS NEEDED

This revival is about his presence and how to capture that presence within the church. This year early at Brownsville we had an experience like that. Many who were there will never forget it. It was on a Saturday night and the prophet was supposed to come in. Cindy Jacobs was very late and didn’t show up in the sanctuary until close to 10 PM. What was going on as we waited was very close to heaven itself. It was a night of celebration as Lindell Cooley led the congregation into the greatest worship that the church had ever seen. We saw the unusual as we heard the new dimension of worship Lindell had moved into. Lindell was dancing before the Lord and the glory was coming down so hard that the released of the angels through the sanctuary was building a new dimension for the Son of God to speak on. It was at it’s highest peak that the prophet walked in. As Jacobs moved through the crowd and she spoke of the supernatural another mantle of God’s glory began to come on the people. The Holy Ghost presence of the Son of God had broke through in a new dimension. It was not the evangelist, nor the pastor but it was the prophet and the worship leader. Jacob is in the office of a prophet but she has a foundation of intercession that runs through her that takes people to now word of God for the individual and the corporate body.

The evangelist will tell you that if you come to a house with poor worship you will struggle to preach. They know without the entry way of God before you speak , it becomes very hard to minister. That’s how it is in heaven praise and worship. How do you know when to praise and when to worship. It’s very simple -- if all you do is praise God -- then you will not go very far. When you move ever so slowly in to worship then you will move into the realm of the presence of God. Let me say to every worship leader that your private time before God will be the success of the whole meeting. A worship leader that doesn’t stay before God before he picks his instrument up is a worship leader that is just using His talent but the evangelist, pastor and mostly the people know when this man hasn’t been before God. God sees all and He is sick of talent -- believe me baby, He’s looking for the goods before he comes down. God is a Spirit and they that worship him worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Remember the Spirit always comes first. If a worship leader is leaning on his talent he is only operating in the truth that he knows, but when the Spirit comes before the truth then there is true revelation from the Father’s heart. When the revelation is broken open before the people of God there is salvation, healing and signs and wonders. I believe as Jesus comes closer to his return the one thing that will mark his presence is the worship of the earth. It will come down so hard in one place that the mystery of God will show up and begin to saturate a place with so much holiness that the appearance of angels will be seen in the worship. This was written to answer many of the people who have asked about my experiences of seeing God move in churches that I have traveled to in my visitation of revival places. I’ve never seen two that were alike -- I have never seen a place where we could no learn from the others. From now and again as I travel I will relate these types of things so you can know.

POWERFUL HEALINGS IN CALIFORNIA

MOBILE, AL -- Looking back at my last ten days in California I can see a move of God forming on the West Coast, it concerns the healing power of God.  There is a revival of healing in that area.  While I ministered the power of God flowed and we saw many miracles.  One miracle happened at Landmark Christian Center.  A women who was unable to keep anything on her stomach after cancer treatment was instantly healed after prayer.  She said that the bile would enter her throat and she could not eat but just a little at a time.  After we prayed for her on that Sunday night -- she was completely set free and had the ability to eat a large meal.  At Bethel in Redding the students there are going into the public praying for people.  Wheelchairs, braces and all manner of disease is being dealt with.  In Galt, California, Pastor David Ross is experiencing a great moving of the Holy Spirit.  Every service is different.  Prophecy, salvation and divine healing are at his church.  There has been a visitation there in the Holy Ghost for the last year.  Pastor David Ross has experienced a tremendous healing from Leukemia.  Ross had an incurable form of  Leukemia as been declared  healed by his doctors.

The Beauty of California

I can't say enough about the beauty of California.  On the last day we were there the 59 degree temperature and the cool winds of the Pacific Ocean touched my heart.  People really do leave their hearts in San Francisco.  Among all the problems this state faces the beauty of God's creation there is hard to put in words.  From the mountains to the Pacific the awesomeness of these things can barely be taken in.  In the early part of the trip on Saturday morning I drove through a mountain pass through a dry hot valley, as I came through the pass I saw a beautiful blue haze hanging over a majestic ocean.  I drove to the Ventura Beaches, it was there on the rocks that I read my word and experienced the blowing cool wind in my face.  I watched the people as they played with their dogs in the surf and I saw pilot whales in the surf thinking they were dolphins.  Afterward I drove to 4,000 feet to witness the beauty of the Los Padres National Forest, at the peak I drove down into the valley of that valley to witness all manner of fruit being grown there in 100 degree temperature.  California you stole my heart.  God is moving in this state and revival stands on the edge.  The second dimension of revival is about to being and that is divine healing.

Off To See A House Of  Prayer

July 9. 2001
REDDING, CA -- Leaving Galt on Saturday I started my trip to Redding, California to visit Pastor Bill Johnson's Church, Bethel Assembly of God.   On my way I visited some old friends in Orangevale.  Ed and Judy Anderson, who were very warm to me as we sat at their table and spoke about revival. Ed Anderson serves as an elder at Family Christian Center in Orangevale, CA.  I arrived at Redding at 12:30 AM and immediately went to bed.

My House Shall Be Called A House of Prayer

Pastor Bill Johnson met me in his office at 9 AM and took me over to the new prayer center.  It's called the Alabaster Box. Going along cobbled stones and seeing the beautiful water that surrounds and runs through the center of the structure, you could feel the presence of God.  Entering  into the inner room of the prayer at the center is a globe made out of etched granite that flowed with water running over the top of it.  The water flowed from the center of the building and to the pool of Bethesda that was outside in front of the building.  There were people praying when we got there.  As you walk upon the ground you can feel and since the power of God all over the place.  As you enter the main room of the Prayer Center at Bethel the anointing quickens and you can sense and feel the power blend of intercession with the main building.  Going back to the church from the center, you feel as if you are taking something with you.  Wow want a powerful place to be.  Even Pastor Johnson felt the anointing as we walked away.

The service that day was built around Kingdom Living as once again Pastor Bill Johnson challenged his congregation of more than 1,200 to walk in a committed fashion. The powerful service at Bethel and the direct teaching of Kingdom living is the future church.  Johnson mentioned said that a church of signs and wonders is a church that understands their destiny in the Kingdom.  He mentioned the Lord's Prayer and stated that the basic principle of that prayer is to bring Heaven down to earth. The vision of Redding is growing, the foundations of the Kingdom can be found on the side of a mountain there. .

GOD CHASER AT BROWNSVILLE

PENSACOLA, FL -- Last night the God Chaser was back in the Brownsville pulpit.  Tenney has become a welcomed guest in the Brownsville pulpit, even though the Assemblies of God have banned his books in recent days.  It just seems like this man of God has the message for our times. GALT, CA --  Editor Jerrell Miller has been in California for the last week.  Last night at New Hope Assembly of God the power of God moved in a dramatic fashion.  New Hope pastored by David Ross has become a place of visitation for the Holy Ghost.  Speaking in the prophetic the Editor spoke of the coming move of God in California.  In a radical statement the publisher said three major areas on the West Coast would be touched by great revival, and the wind of the power of the Holy Ghost that had blown from the East to the West will now begin to blow from the West to the East.

GALT IS A PLACE OF VISITATION

Pastor David Ross had  just returned from the mountains where he has been fasting and praying for the last ten days.  On Tuesday when Editor Miller arrived on Hwy 99 he pulled on to the main street and began to weep. "It was an usual experience, it's almost as if God has his hand on you and knows what you are going to do next.  This is more than just a personal visitation in this town.  God is doing something on a large scale in Galt, California."  The city of Galt is very close to the San Andreas fault, and last year Pastor Ross has been in a personal battle with Leukemia.  His last visit to the doctor revealed no  evidence of incurable chronic Leukemia.

Intercessory Prayer Leads The Way

Something is happening here, the evidence of healings and visitation is drawing people to come and see.  Porterville and Galt, California are a result of great intercessory prayer.  Once again God is breaking ground in a new area.  Tomorrow Editor Jerrell Miller will be at Vacaville, California  where Pastor Dave Chrone has been active in revival for the last few years.  The editor will minister in Galt on Sunday and will be at the Dream Center in San Francisco.  Form more information about the move of God in Galt you can e-mail the church at actsone8@viafamily.com.

In Porterville we saw people healed and a blanket anointing in the house.  At Galt last night a cloud could be seen in the service and the prophetic word came forth.  People are receiving right now and the atmosphere is pregnant with the glory of God. To order The Remnant call (888) 755-9145.

RESURRECTION

JUNE 29. 2001
PORTERVILLE, CA -- It was just two weeks ago when Editor Jerrell Miller preached at Landmark Christian Center in Porterville California.  Something happened in the Sunday night service on June 10.  The glory came in the sanctuary but the Editor had to come back home to help produce the Brownsville sixth anniversary issue.  Pastor Blaylock said that the revival spirit entered the church at that time.  We have had several healings and two resurrections in our sanctuary the revival spirit has been here, before Jerrell got here but something happened on the night he was at our church.

Worship plays a major role in the Presenece of God at the Church

LANDMARK BIRTHED BY HUNGER

Pastor Paulette Blaylock has built a foundational work from the ground up.  She started with 53 people five  years ago and this year she moved into her new sanctuary. More than 500 people have joined the church since five years ago.  Paulette and her staff have traveled to the Brownsville Revival in the early formation of the church and that visit to Pensacola stirred the Pastor and her staff to a desire to see Revival happen in the Central Valley of California.  Paulette is no stranger to sadness.  Fourteen years ago she used to travel with her husband and minister as an evangelist until one morning her oldest daughter and husband were struck by a drunk driver on a farm road.  That one morning changed her whole life.  Her other daughter was in the truck just before her husband left that morning but Sarah felt ill  and came back in the house to be with her mother.  Today she is 21 years old and plays bass guitar at Landmark Christian Center. Editor Jerrell Miller will be at Landmark Christian Center this Sunday night.
