T. B. Joshua Visits South Africa
By Jerrell Miller Remnant Editor
CAPE TOWN, SO. AFRICA -- It was the first time that Prophet T. B. Joshua had traveled to The Republic of South Africa. He was there to dedicate the new Synagogue Church of All Nations branch for South Africa. The church is located in the warehouse industrial district of Brackenfell north of Cape Town. They Were Ready For
The Man of GodThere is a great testimony of witness for what God can do through the hands of the prophet. Joshua says, "I am not the healer, but I know the one who is, His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth."
It was in August of 2003 that Sibusile the daughter of King Goodwill Zwelethini (King of the Zulu Nation) was healed from seven years of epilepsy. Another witness from South Africa was the well known rugby player Ruben Kruger who came to The Synagogue Church of All Nations with a brain tumor and was instantly healed. These two people were a powerful statement to this country. At the heart of the South African people is the King of the Zulus, it says that the heart of the king is in the hand of God. This one healing of the kings daughter along with the healing of the nationally known rugby player verified the ministry of Prophet T. B. Joshua to a nation who is searching for a new identity.
Another Witness was at Cape Town to celebrate
The Remnant International Editor Jerrell Miller was quoted in the Charisma Magazine and The Remnant Newspaper as saying, "T. B. Joshua could be the answer for revival in South Africa." The battle for Africa is a battle of belief, many countries struggle with Islamic believe today but the signs and wonders ministry of Prophet T. B. Joshua is slowly making headway among the people of the Dark Continent. For more than 15 years The Republic of South Africa has seen the country in sometimes a violent transition as the value of the Rand and the lawlessness has spread through out the land. In November of 2000 the IFP party leader Butalezi said, "We have waited for the dream all our lives but what was the dream has now turned into a nightmare." He was speaking about the fall of the economy and the lawlessness among the people. Today the Rand has grown in strength and this country is seeking a move of God and a return to moral Christian values.
As the prophet of God flew in on a private jet the meetings began. People started arriving at the new church on November 14 at 5 AM in the morning. The building was full at 9 AM and the two overflow tents were tuning people away. Brother Joshua waited for the moment that the Holy Spirit would move among the huge crowd. There was no advertising at all, the entire event was put forth without any publicity. The people came because they were hungry and many came with the hope being made whole.
As the man of God came to the meeting the power of God was in the house as he moved into the huge crowd to release the power of God.
Powerful Healings Were Just The Beginning
A young women named Marijke Kleynhans of Parow, South Africa was touched by the power of God. "My legs became very swollen and hard, I received treatment at Tygerberg Hospital but because of kidney failure they cold not continue with it. On Tuesday October 19 my doctor told me that I would never walk again. I was devastated because I am still young. I knew about T. B. Joshua but did not have the means to go to Nigeria. Fortunately he opened a church in Cape Town so I went there on Sunday so that he could pray for me," Kleynhans said.
While the prophet prayed for the young women something miraculous happened. "After Prophet Joshua prayed for me. I am now able to move and bend my legs freely." Kleynhans came into the meeting with the use of crutches after Joshua prayed for her she no longer had use for them.
Maude Thuynsma (79), who suffers from Parkinson’s disease cannot sustain herself when she walks. Prophet Joshua and several pastors prayed for her by the laying on of hands. She got out of the wheelchair and began to walk around the building.. She moved rather slowly at first and then demonstrated a full ability to walk and stand on her own.
Another 52-year-old man named Michael arrives at the church in the back seat of a car with a heavy brace around him. Prophet Joshua goes outside the building and lays on top of the man in the back seat and prays the prayer of faith. Immediately the man stands to his feet, takes off the brace and begins to walk freely as seen in the above pictures. This man says the only way he could get comfortable from the pain is to lay down, but after the prayer of faith he is normal again.
One man had come from Johannesburg to be healed. He was HIV positive but before the prophet of God prayed for him he told him that he had infected his wife with the disease and he was to go back home and bring her back to be prayed for. All arrangements were made for the man and his wife to be back the next day. The prophet prayed for the both of them on Monday.
Prophet Joshua did not expect the amount of people, he had just come to dedicate the new church. The power of God was in the vast crowd that had come. Two extra outside tents were constructed to hold the overflow, but it just wasn’t enough as hundreds were turned away.. This meeting had no outside newspaper ads or any radio ads. The people came to this meeting knew about the man of God. Many came because they could not make the trip to Nigeria. The thing that made the meeting so powerful was the tremendous atmosphere of faith that surrounded those who were in attendance. The meeting was promoted by word of mouth and more than 1,400 packed the main church building and the outside tents. One must wonder how many would have shown up if someone would had advertised the meeting. It was just supposed to be a short visit where the prophet would fly in and dedicate the new church and leave, but something happened at the church that will not go away. Right now the people in South Africa and Nigeria are planning another meeting in January.
The Synagogue Church of All Nations has several branches in Nigeria, one branch in Austria, Greece and Ghana. Prophet Joshua made the statement that the church in South Africa could be the same size of the Synagogue Church in Lagos one day. Revival is made of such things as this. The hunger of the people for the move of God is happening right now during the South African summer. It’s right on time. Who could tell the duration of what will happen when Prophet T. B. Joshua returns to Cape Town in January.
This is a country that needs revival. Prophet Joshua has touched the hearts of the people here and has built an expectancy of great hope for the future of revival in this country.
