PENSACOLA, FL -- It was a day of tears as one
would leave and one would join. It was the
Anniversary Day of the revival and Charity James
would become Charity James Hubbard. It was just five
years ago that she auditioned for Lindell Cooley in
the back of the church. As she sang the Mercy Seat
song at revival she would touch the ear of the
evangelist also and her voice would become synonymous
with the altar call at the great Brownsville Revival.
God was in the sanctuary at Brownsville as beautiful
candles were lit and it was a time of memory with old
friends and new ones attending.
Her wedding was very much like a
prophetic statement that marked a day in time when
one would leave and one would come. God was speaking
at this time and His voice would be heard through His
bride this night. God has a way of speaking at
Brownsville like no other place. This Wedding Feast
would signal the beginning of a new era at the
revival as its evangelist was leaving, being called
back to the mission field.
