LAGOS, NIGERIA --
There leader has
been gone for almost one month now, but at 5:00 PM in the late evening as the sun passes through the western windows of the Synagogue Church more than 3,000 people have come to pray for their pastor. A small Junior Prophet by the name of Rachel comes in front of the congregation to exhort the multitude who have gathered. They are praying for their Pastor T. B. Joshua as he is just two days away from the return of a successful outreach in Anyang, Korea. Thousands packed the sports arena to see the man of God but Prophet Joshua left word for his people to watch and pray. Much like the disciples of Christ, it was a crucial hour and the masters time had come. Prophet Joshua is beginning one of the greatest adventures of his life. He is taking the healing power of Jesus outside the walls of the Synagogue Church and the power of God is meeting him on his visits to other places. The plane ride from Nigeria to Korea is nine hours but he is being backed by his people in intercession. They love their man of God and they have made a promise to him to pray while he is gone. Prophet Joshua looks at prayer by his people as a seed planted. He believes that anything done in intercession can only be beneficial to the ones who are praying.

The teaching this day was given by Rachel, she grew up in a town just below London but her roots right now are at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. She is one of the disciples of Prophet T. B. Joshua and her teaching was done with force and power this day. She admonished the large crowd to turn their bibles to John 4. It was the place where Jesus was led into the wilderness to fast and pray for 40 days. The Holy Spirit was leading Jesus to a place of battle, but today the young prophet exhorted people and told them that the battle was on the inside. Satan has come to us through doubt and unbelief in our hearts, this is where are warfare is and this is where our victory is. If we have doubt or fear God will not answer our prayer. Jesus leads us to a place of victory. Without a battle there can be no victory. No battle, no victory! If we are in an attitude of His divine presence we are sure to have a battle. Remember, a battle is necessary for a victory.

When we seek His face and His presence that is when the battle begins. Temptation will come but it won’t be too great for you. He will keep you in the battle, the only part we have to play is to be sure to keep our will lined up with the master.

As Jesus prayed in the garden He asked his Father to take this cup from him and He then said, "Not my will but thine be done." It was the will of the Father for Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus’s victory is our victory. It has been done, it is finished. His victory is in His Word, we are at battle on the inside but God’s Word is our weapon for victory. It is time to put our armour on and we have all that we need if we have His Word. When Jesus was hungry in the wilderness and was tempted by food from the devil, He use the word of God by saying, "It is written." His victory is in the Word, His victory is our victory. He has overcome every obstacle. We overcome daily by acting on God’s Word. Truth and love become our protection.

In Psalms 3:5 it says, "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies." Why did Jesus say He prepared a table before our enemies? A table represent the needs of our life. That means if we are in the battle, Jesus will sustain us during the midst of our battle with our enemy. Again Rachel said that the battle is from within and the answer is the Word of God, the victory has already been won.

The junior prophets of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations have been trained up on the teachings of Prophet T. B. Joshua. Over a period of years I have watched the confidence grow in these young prophets who have come to this church from many foreign countries. They’re not looking for a mate when they come here. These young people are looking for something and that is the presence of God. Most of them have been involved already in several miracles. Many of them have seen things in the last four years that many elder ministers haven’t ever seen in a lifetime. They are taught that adversity brings promotion and you can only grow by going through the battle. Like Rachel said, "Without a battle there is no victory."
